Riding the Telos Deros 157 was an absolute TREAT, (I weigh 140 and stand at 5’7” this size was good for me, but I like longer boreds, definitely could have rocked a 154) I was sooo fortunate to not only try this board out, but I got to ride some really nice powder a few separate times. This bored allowed me to stay afloat in some incredibly deep and light snow, giving me great responsiveness through tighter trees due to the tighter waist width, while supplying the surface area that allowed me to stay on top. It is not too often that you find a swallow tail shaped snowboard with so much pop as this board has. The first few times really popping off the tail I actually exclaimed out loud in shock that it could catapult me as it did.
The shape of this bored was pretty futuristic in design, (not to mention the spacey vibe of the topsheet) the board has set back camber, which gave me great control in powder and railing turns on the hard pack. I found myself floating like it was nothing with the tip and tail early rise rocker. This rockered section of the bored also provides a very catch-free edge to edge transition. The big and beautiful swallow tail was extremely propper in its design, a lot of snowboards with swallowtails seem to give up their pop ability in order to harness the benefits of a swallowtail. This bored does not sacrifice anything from having this design, instead it gives you the pop of a hard tail while also giving you the speed and natural

balanced stance you want to rock when you are riding in the deep end. You can blast off of whatever you want with comfort and power, and land on the bolts of your bored with little or no need to lean back onto your tail, regardless of how deep the snow may be. The tip of this board is futuristic looking, nothing too wild going on up there, but it certainly does its job by providing a whole lot of surface area to keep your weight distribution balanced with your tail. I found myself pretty stunned a few times when I thought for sure I should have gone over the handlebars into a roll or two, and the nose kept me up and out. My first time doing a tamedog on this board sent me FLYING like I owed it money, I was not prepared for the amount of rebound this bored had, leading me to dial back my power contribution.

Anyone riding this board in freestyle terrain, trying to blast big cliffs or booters will find themself in love with the Deros. The geometry of this board is really something to behold! The shape and futuristic look of this bored will definitely get people talking, so if you are more of an introvert, this bored may not be for you... Anyone looking to get a powder specific snowboard that can rail on the groomers, the Deros is a very solid option for a great price. I think Telos did a great job in designing this bored and I would happily suggest it to anyone trying to add to their quiver without breaking the bank.
